I hope you enjoy this little corner of my blog. Here, you will find random artwork .. NOT necessarily all Close To My Heart.... Mostly from me and on occasion from friends. Proper tribute will always be given. Some pieces may be inspired by other and I will always try to provide links to tutorial when possible.

Paper Cupcakes
(gift card holders)

I made eight of these adorable little goodies for friends and my roommates at this year's Convention in Dallas, TX. I wish I could take full credit.. However, I found the tutorial for these on another Wonderful Close To my Heart Consultant's page.. I hope you enjoy the video.... Here... If you are local to me.. I would be more then happy to put together a workshop for you and your friends .. Do keep in mind.. These take a minimum of 4 hours to make one.. depending in your skill level....

Storm At Sea- Quilted Card

I made this card for my husband a few years ago for valentines. I grew up quilting, having learned the art from my amazing grandmother.. Ever seen the movie, 'Doc Hollywood'? Well, she consulted on the movie and made the very quilt in it...

Anyway, one of my absolute favorite quilt patterns is called, 'Storm at Sea' it is quit beautiful. I decided I wanted scale the pattern down for this card. some of the pieces are as small as a .25". After I pieced it, I ran it through my bigshot in an embossing folder to get the quilted look.

I hope you enjoy this one.

Can you see BOTH of the hearts?
