Paper, Houses, Cameo... What a combination!!!

So, I have been a busy bee. I am preparing for a vendor event on the 1st, that I was just asked to do.. But, at the same time Have been having an itch for some more Cameo play time. We all know my love of paper and my cameo.. Not to mention, my new love of 3D houses!!!! Whelp, I still have some embellishing to finish.. But, just had to share my latest paper craft...

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I just know this is going to a perfect addition to the decorations.

I am still figuring out how I want to dress this beauty up and when I do, I will share the update. In the mean time, I thought you would like to see it side by side with the Scaredy Cat haunted house I did a few weeks ago... Pretty sure, I will be doing both again for my Christmas village.

AND... Even though these following pictures do not do them justice.. They light up!!!!

Both houses were made using Close to My Heart paper lines. The haunted house was named after that line, Scaredy Cat. While the Victorian was made using the 'Pathfinding' paper pack. Don't forget, these were made using my FABULOUS Silhouette Cameo and the 'Maple Manor' svg kit from SvgCuts.com.

I hope that these provided a little bit of inspiration to get into your crafting goodies. The holidays are right around the corner.. So much to make.. so little time to finish :-) But, hey.... That's okay.... even if we are late.. we can enjoy them next year :-)

As always.. Until next time...

I LOVE being crafty and using SvgCuts!!!

It has been a little while since I have been crafty.. Just for myself..
While I do enjoy creating cards for my card clubs and workshops.. Sometimes, it is nice to sit and do something I WANT to do for myself...
Y'all know how much I LOVE SvgCuts and share their giveaways and new kit announcements... I can't help but share things that I LOVE and truly enjoy. So, the fact that I can combine two of my LOVES.. Close to My Heart and SvgCuts.. is such a joy...
I have been determined to make the haunted house from SvgCuts' Haunted Forest kit for quite some time. Well, yesterday I gave to myself... I did not worry about card clubs, workshops, etc... I just played with my Silhouette Cameo and CTMH papers (Scaredy Cat)...
I hope you enjoy the product of my 'playtime'.

I still have some embellishing to work on, but I just had to share. I am getting ready to make the Mansion from their 'Maple Manor' kit...
If you want to know more or shop from their HUGE selection of Svg kits... Just click the link on the 'RIGHT' side of my page. It will take you there. In all of my searching for svg files on the internet, they have the BEST files. Mary and Leo go out of their way to bring these creative files and their customer service is second to none....
LOL, I sound like an advertiser, but I can't help but share companies that truly care about what they do and what they provide....
Anywho, I hope you enjoyed my crafty project and hope you check back again. I plan to be posting the Mansion in the next week. Oh, did I mention the mansion is BIGGER that this adorable house? Much BIGGER...

Until next time...

I'm Back!!!!

So, it has been a few weeks since my last post. I went on a fabulous, and much overdue cruise with my sisters!!!
We all met in New Orleans on a Saturday, Checked out Bourbon street during the 'Decadence Festival'. I will say that was an interesting experience. I should mention, we are spread ALL over this country. Me, San Antonio, Tx; then Arizona, Illinois and Washington state..

That Sunday, we boarded the Carnival Dream and headed out for our SEVEN day cruise. Hit up Isle Roatan, Honduras; Belize, where we did cave tubing and ziplining; then ported in Cozumel. We had the best time, eating, sunning, eating, watching shows, taking TONS of pictures, eating, shopping, sunning.. did I say eating?

I was positive I gained 20 pounds when I got home. Lucky me.. all that shopping and walking... I only gained .5 a pound. If I had know, I would have probable eaten more :-)

Anywho, I needed to rest after the vacation and just found it hard to get back into my groove. BUT, I am pretty sure I have found it again and ready to get this crafting train back on track.

I will be making a few posts over the next few days to share pics from the cruise, the mini album workshop, and card class that I held after getting back. I have two classes this weekend, not to mention working on the new line-up of classes and workshops for the rest of the year.

Until next time..

Happy Crafting!!!

So, here it is....

August 23rd- Scaredy Cat Mini Album

I would LOVE to have you join in the fun!!!

I will be teaching this mini album on August 23rd, using the Close to My Heart
Scaredy Cat' paper collection.
Isn't it just the cutest thing?!

I am not big into Halloween. BUT, I just love this paper collection!!!

Of course, you do not have to decorate as I did. You can fit up to THREE 3.5"x 5" photos, TWO 2.5"x 3.5" photos, as well as smaller ones and still have plenty of room for journaling your memories.

 It just keeps expanding!!!

Just think of what you could with this as a Christmas album? Which I will be making plenty of :-)

I plan on making this album again, trying to get a different look. Wish me Luck!!!

If you are local, I would LOVE to have you join this workshop. Don't forget about my card classes. We always have a lot of fun!!!

Until Next Time,
 As Always!!!

Happy Crafting~

August 2nd Card Class

So, I love my card classes. There is nothing better than sharing fun techniques with
those who enjoy my love of the paper crafts.

I wanted to get this post out earlier this week, but I just have not had the time. I am constantly hunting techniques and designing cards for my classes. I joined a consultant blog hop to share art and products from CTMH's new catalog, and I joined a consultant swap. Somehow, I managed to finish everything up tonight.

But, now that I have all of that behind me.. I can focus on my upcoming classes and, finally, share with you the cards we made last weekend. I really hope that you enjoy them. They were a lot of fun.. Even if one of them was a tad time consuming...

I forgot to add this Braided card to the group picture. Isn't it just the cutest? I actually, plan to work on a post this weekend that gives a detailed tutorial on creating this card. It is a such a unique card and so much easier than it looks.

You will see that a few of my cards for this class use the same paper collection,
It is such a fun and cheerful collection, I just could not put it down.

This rosette card is inspired by another CTMH consultant, Marie Farson. In fact, I loved her card so much. This is almost an exact replica. Again, this used the 'Confetti Wishes' paper collection, canary card stock, thistle card stock, thistle chevron ribbon.

In case I have not shared this before.. I absolutely ADORE OWLS!!!! This cute little guy is from the August Stamp of the Month, 'What a Hoot'. I have quite a few cards in mind with this stamp set.
Isn't this set adorable?

http://delightfulstamper.ctmh.com/ctmh/promotions/sotm/2014/1408-what-a-hoot.aspx

He is only available this month and then he is GONE!!!

Be sure to check back often, as I will be using him again :-)

These next two cards we a bunch of fun. The File Folder card, I used the Envelope Punch Board. You can find this tool at Hobby Lobby. I used the store coupon and got it at a fantastic price and free shipping.

The other card.. Yes, I used 'Confetti Wishes' again :-) I am sorry, I could not help myself!!!
This card card is a variation of a tri fold card. This one has a pocket in it, and the blue flower actually is a closure for the card.

As with the Braided card, I plan to post a step by step tutorial to make both of these cards and I hope that you will check back.

As always, I enjoy sharing my love of paper and ink and hope that you will return, share my blog with your friends, and visit my facebook page. As soon as my facebook page reaches 200 'LIKES', I will be running another giveaway!!! So, share and 'LIKE' away!!!

AND.. If you are local to me, San Antonio, TEXAS... Please, feel free to contact me and join in on one of my classes and/or workshops. I try to have something every two weeks. I would love to see you there!!!

Until next time,

Happy Crafting!!!

And don't forget to share my blog and facebook page!!

New Product Blog Hop- Second Entry

Whew!!! I mean to get this post out earlier. But, It has been a busy week.

Here is my second entry for the 2014-2015 New Product Blog Hop.

The first, is a card I have loved for a very LONG time... Gift cards have really made a huge impact in recent years. Finding to right way to give them as a gift has just gotten CUTER!!!!

I really think that 'Snowhaven' is gorgeous collection and worked well with this card.

I just love this gift card holder. Just think of all the holidays, graduations, birthdays that you can use this for.

Next, is a 3x3 card. Again, I used the 'Snowhaven' paper collection.
Nothing like a little card for the gift bag.

I hope you have fun hoping through all of the other consultants participating in this swap. There is so much inspiration and I can't wait to try my hand at some of the art shared.

Until next time, as always!

Happy Crafting~

2014-2015 New Product Blog Hop

I am so excited to be participating in a Blog Hop again. It has been quite a few years since my last. So, YOU are in for a REAL treat!!!!

So many talented consultant will be sharing the artwork and I just know you are going to get the crafting juices flowing with all the inspiration you'll find throughout this hop.

So, in celebration of the new 2014-2015 CTMH Annual inspiration, I hope that you will enjoy my entries for this hop. But, do not just drop by today.. as I will be submitting a few entries for this hop over the next week. This hop will run from August 1-7.

My first card is after my favorite time of year.. CHRISTMAS. Made with the Snowhaven paper collection, I really think it captures the 'Christmas Cheer'.. Actually, it reminds me of winter sweaters on a ski slope.

I used the stamp set from the 'Snowhaven' Workshop on the Go cardmaking kit, the Silver Shimmer Trim, Cranberry Exclusive Inks,Cranberry cardstock, Black cardstock, and Whisper cardstock.
I do not know about you, but I love how the shimmer trim really makes the card pop.
My next card is, again, Christmas themed using the Snowhaven collection. But, it has a completely different look. I love how versatile all of Close to My Heart's paper collections are.
This card is a bit simpler. But, again I love how the shimmer trim gives that added bling to the card. Simple and festive.
The only added items for this card, include the shimmer trim in Red, I used the CTMH Scallop Punch, Sparkle Clear flourishes-small, and Glacier cardstock.
I just love both of these cards and am just getting started with the holiday fun. I hope you come back to seem more of the artwork I will be sharing over the next week. Don't forget to follow the link below to continue on the Hop.
You'll be glad you did!!!
As Always, until next time~

August 2nd Card Classes Sneak Peek!!!

With the next set of classes right around the corner, Aug. 2nd (1-4pm and 5-8pm) I thought is would be nice to share a little sneak peek of one of the cards we will be making.

I have always loved this version of the tri-fold card. Adding the pocket to it, only makes it better.

I used the new Close To my Heart 'Confetti Wishes' paper collection and just love how cheerful this birthday card looks.

The inside has a cute little pull out card to write your sentiment or to further embellish as you wish.

with the little flower on the pull out card, I used a masking technique to stamp the leaves without overstamping on to the flower.

I have quite a few other cards planned and will be sharing AFTER classes are finished. If you are local, I would love to have you join us.

Until next time,

Happy Crafting!!!

July 18th & 19th Card Classes

I had such a wonderful time with such great ladies.. as usual!!! We made four cards this go around, along with a special 3D project to take their cards home in. I just love hunting down new techniques or trying to tweak an old one.

Anyway, I wanted to show off the cards for this block of classes.

The first, I was so excited to share with my class. In fact, I ended up cutting everything out for it, only to realize that I did not like the card and had to start it all over again. I had cut for 24 cards :-(
In the end, I an happy with the outcome. I have always loved the swing card and I even broke out some retired paper I had been hoarding, Close To My Heart's 'Cherry-O' paper. I think it worked out nicely.

Next.. I have to admit.. I am just now getting on the Washi bandwagon. I just could not understand what the big deal was about decorated tape... Well, I am now a convert. This stuff is so much fun and there are so many ways to use it. Here i just used the basic... add it to the card base technique and I love the color combination.
Finally, I am sad that this paper line is about to retire in just a few days. CTMH's 'Lollydoodle' is just such a HAPPY collection. I did make sure I have plenty on hand for my own personal stash.. It is just a mater of how long I will hold on to it.... I think that this card is cheerful and I think would brighten someone's day. Using the Chevron embossing folder and new Shinhan alcohol markers from Close To my Heart, I really loved the final product.

The 3D project is a super cute and fun. I found the tutorial for this purse on Youtube and you can watch it here. I enjoy all of her videos and know you will too. This cute little purse/gift bag can fold flat. So, if you are needing to make a bunch for a party, or just because.. They will not take up a lot space until you need them.

I see a bunch of these being made this year for my daughter's senior year.

As always, I hope you enjoyed your visit to my little age and I am still working hard to post regularly with projects that I think are of interest. If you would like to something in particular, please let me know.

Until next time...

Happy Crafting!!!

~Rochelle

Card Classes and more!!!

The card classes back in full swing. Friday's class was full of lovely ladies getting their crafty on. Below are the cards that we made. I like to give sneak peeks before class, but do not share all of the cards. I like to it to be a surprise.

The cards in this picture feature Close to My Heart's 'Balloon Ride', 'Jubilee', and 'Lollydoodle'. They will be retiring the end of July, as the new Inspiration Annual will be going live. If you are interested in any of these collections, you can view each here. They are while supplies last, so hurry before they are gone forever.

Doesn't this one just make you smile. I just love 'Balloon Ride', and the card does not even do it justice.

The starburst technique works so well with this 'Ariana' collection. I see myself doing so much more with this technique in the future.

I have always loved easel cards and Lollydoodle really made this a super cute birthday card.

If you are local to me (San Antonio, Tx and surrounding area) I would love to have you join one of my card classes. My next one will be July 18th and it is already almost full.. I will also be adding card kit, and scrapbooking workshops to the calendar in the very near future.

As Always, until next time...

Happy Crafting!!!
